BIOGRAPHY I began my career in media production by landing a job in the Corporate Communications department at DST Systems in Kansas City. My love for the business helped me quickly work my way up from being an intern to becoming the company's in-house Director, Cinematographer, and Video Editor in only 4 years. Longing to build upon my developing talent, I left DST and was awarded a position as Cinematographer and Studio Manager at RSVP Film and Video located in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Within a year and a half, I was contacted by Take Two in the heart of downtown Kansas City and proudly accepted their offer of similar positions of Cinematographer and Studio Manager. During my tenure at Take Two, I decided to further expand my career and fulfill a personal dream I had held for quite some time..... I started my own Still Photography company. That exciting new venture became the perfect complement to my successes behind the video camera and allowed me to find freedom working on my own. As my photography business and my confidence grew, I left the safety and security of a full-time job so that I could challenge myself and experience life -- not just live it. I can honestly say that my journey has been tremendously fulfilling. I now continue to build in TWO markets -- Kansas City and Chicago -- and I have had the opportunity to shoot throughout much of North America and overseas. My clients now expect me to serve them as both a Cinematographer and a Still Photographer. I seek to bring my own style and personality to each medium and I consider myself very fortunate that my clients rely on me to do both types of projects. This has been a tremendous asset. I've have gained experience working in many different types of media formats ranging from broadcast television programming, local and regional commercial spots, corporate video productions, magazine covers and editorials, websites, and billboards. I have shared awards for the outstanding work that I have accomplished with my fellow talented creative partners. I'm very proud of what we have achieved together. This business is a team sport and I have had some outstanding teams to work with. In summary, my career is blossoming and I'm very grateful for how things are unfolding. I am fortunate to have had many amazing people support and help me along the way. I consider every day of my life to be a gift.... and my tomorrow is always a mystery. I wouldn't have it any other way! |
