Glazers Take a Step Toward Reality TV

Don’t weep for Stanford Glazer. He’s not going to City Hall, but he may be going to Comedy Central.

An executive producer from the cable channel was in town Tuesday to film the Glazer family as they waited for election results at Stanford & Sons Comedy Club in Westport. If the family footage is entertaining enough, Comedy Central will pay for a pilot episode that could then turn into a regular series.

“Everyone from Tommy Chong to Pauly Shore has told me I need to film this insanity of my family, that it was the funniest thing they’ve ever seen,” said Stanford’s son Craig Glazer, who would be an executive producer of the show. “But I also want to show our city off, that it’s a fun town, and ignite people to come visit.”

The appeal for Comedy Central was to show a “regular family,” but more in the line of “The Osbournes” than “The Brady Bunch.” …
