Preparations for the Movie "Hope"
Shaun Gets Set to Shoot His First Full-Length Feature
By Mandy Wilson

Shaun is officially scheduled to shoot this motion picture beginning in mid-June, 2007. When he received the script from Director Rich Ambler, he literally couldn't put it down.  "I read it cover to cover... and although I do feel that the subject matter is controversial, it's a topic that we can't ignore.  This movie will put several sides of the issue into perspective and will move the audience to take a deeper look at their own views and opinions."

hopeSynopsis:
A tragic crime challenges a Senator's stance against embryonic stem cell research.

Senator Bob Moreland built his political career on conservative issues and is a leading opponent of embryonic stem cell research.  But a tragic crime puts his family in danger, and suddenly his ethics are in direct opposition to the needs of his family.  Can he delve through years of rhetoric and strong pressure from his political constituency to find an answer he can live with?  Can he and his wife reach an agreement or will their marriage be destroyed, too?

When hope is all you have... it might be all you need.

Technical Notes:
The movie will be produced on a very modest budget but that's not stopping anyone from taking it very seriously.  Shaun will be shooting in HD using Sony's F900 which will give him a lot of options.  The perfect complement to the camera is to have great lighting, so Greg King is on board as the Gaffer.  He'll have the very difficult task of lighting "on a budget", so lighting "creatively" will be the rule that this crew will have to follow.

The movie will be cut and finished in Kansas City at Substation K.
